"Romantic Outlaws" - Celebrating the lives and work of Percy Bysshe & Mary Shelley, William Godwin and Mary Wollstonecraft. Part of the 200th Anniversary Celebrations of Frankenstein.

Between 8th-18th February 2018, a 10 day Shelley Trust pop up heritage museum, art gallery, gift shop and time travelers emporium will open in Sovereign Shopping Centre.

Open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sundays 11am-4pm, The Shelley Trust art gallery and gift shop is stocked with works by local artists and designer-makers.

Shelley Trust Workshop Series

  • History and Horrors: A Boscombe Journey - 11am-12pm, 16th Feb - A free tour starting from the museum, guided by Hattie Miles.
  • Gothic By Candlelight - 5.30pm-7.30pm, 16th Feb - Quill and ink writing with award winning author Christine Aziz. Bring your own creativity, materials provided - £5, pay on the day.
  • Ode To The Ode - 5.30pm-7.30pm, 17th Feb - Poetry workshop with local poet Carrie Carrie. A whistle stop tour of the history of the Ode. Come try your hand at the Ode - £5, pay on the day.

Free refreshments available at all workshops. Wheelchair accessible events.

The events are staffed by volunteers and are self funded by the community. Visit the Shelley Trust Facebook page for info about contributing to the running costs of events.

Parking is available in the Sovereign Shopping Centre car park.
